Have you been impacted by the foreign aid pause and attempted closure of USAID?

Please join us to share your story. We will discuss how the Trump Administration’s actions on foreign aid have impacted residents in our community.

On January 20, Donald Trump kicked off his second Presidency by pausing all foreign aid, among 200 executive orders. The pause led to stop work orders on current international development and global health projects and the attempted closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Halting the world’s biggest donor of development aid has far reaching ramifications in many countries of the world. People have been stranded on international exchanges, support for basic subsistence of refugees ended, critical humanitarian aid and medical interventions were stopped, and thousands of people around the world have lost their jobs. These actions have been a shock to the international development system, and they have impacted organizations, programs, and individuals in our community.

The discussion will be moderated by WWAC chairperson, Merrill Sovner.

Our Salons are a perk of membership.  We encourage you to bring your friends.  Refreshments will be served.
