The Windham World Affairs Council is pleased to co-sponsor a screening of An Artist Responds to War, filmmaker Robbie Leppzer’s portrait of Peter Schumann, founder of Vermont’s Bread & Puppet Theater.
Exploring the connections between childhood trauma, creative expression, and resistance to war, this 45-minute documentary brings Vermont’s artistic legacy into conversation with urgent global questions. Following the film, Leppzer will join Palestinian Vermonter and human rights advocate Mohsen Mahdawi for a conversation and audience Q&A.
Tickets: $15 in advance; $20 at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
