Reflections at the Two Year Mark of Russia's Invasion of Ukraine

Wednesday, February 7th

Speaker, Solidarity Cocktail Hour & Fundraiser

Saxtons River Distillery, 155 Chickering Drive, Brattleboro

5-6pm Remarks by Consul General of Lithuania Vaclovas Šalkauskas

Vaclovas Šalkauskas, Consul General of Lithuania in New York and a diplomat of thirty years, will come to Brattleboro to share with us his insight and perspective on the war. While Ukraine has defied analyst predictions that Ukraine would quickly fall to the Russian military, the counteroffensive has not materialized as hoped. Ambassador Šalkauskas will explain what’s happening on the ground in Ukraine today and concerns about the waning support in Europe and the United States. Moderated by Kerry Secrest, Honorary Consul of Lithuania to Vermont, and WWAC member, the event will be followed by a Solidarity Cocktail Hour and Fundraiser.

The event is free, but donations for Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK) are encouraged to support Ukraine: Blue Yellow, USA
