October’s Members & Friends Salon will provide an opportunity to discuss the importance of “thinking globally, acting locally”. WWAC member Richard Evers suggested a salon to discuss direct actions necessary to achieve energy sustainability in the river towns of our region. Our featured guests will include:
Sarah Gagnon works in the field of sustainability helping companies report on their greenhouse gasses emissions (GHG) among other environmental, social and governance related metrics. She has deep knowledge of both domestic international raters and frameworks that are part of a collecting data on companies globally and making that data available to the public to make informed investment and purchasing decisions.
Kim Friedman of Newfane who is the coordinator of West River Valley:100% Renewable, a non-profit dedicated to meeting the energy needs of the West River Valley with renewable sources by 2025.
Stephen Dotson is Brattleboro’s sustainability coordinator. He will prvode an update on how Brattleboro is faring and what we can do to help.
